Meet Ben:)

Ben is a sweet, hard-working, SILLY guy who loves LIFE. His love of performing started at 3 years old with his obsession of the movie “Cinderella,” singing along and waving his self-named “bobby” wand to the song bippity-boppity-boo…and can still do it to this day:) Originally planning on pursuing a career in opera, he was accepted to the vocal performance programs of the Eastman School of Music, Vanderbilt, Belmont, Utah State, and BYU. However, he ended up accepting a spot at Brigham Young University’s Musical Theater BFA program and has since graduated in April 2024. He had a wonderful 4 years of learning, including performing in BYU productions such as Fiddler on the Roof, Urinetown, Pirates of Penzance, Die Fledermaus, and Godspell. In addition to these productions, he was able to tour the UK as a company member of the BYU Young Ambassadors and was a member of the BYU Contemporary Dance Company in 2023. Additional opportunities included performing in a masterclass with Jeremy Jordan and performing as Joseph Smith in Alex Boye’s American Prophet. He has also performed in two seasons with the Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theater Company in shows such as Cats, Guys and Dolls, Joseph…Dreamcoat, and Man of the La Mancha, among others.

In addition to singing/dance/theater, he began to play piano at the age of 7, and in high school, played for a varsity orchestra, soloing in Bloch’s Concerto Grosso w/ Piano Obligato at the TNMEA All-State Conference. Along with the orchestra, he participated in choir, marching band, and theater. He also attended the High School for Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, TX specializing in vocal performance (the same vocal program Beyoncé began in)! He later was able to study with Tyler Nelson (Associate Professor of Voice at Vanderbilt).

Ben’s favorite quote is something his grandpa always said to him:

“Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing”.
